How the Lord Birthed Daughter of Zion Banners
In July of 2025, I shared a simple worship video on TikTok. Using my very first set of worship flags, I recorded myself worshiping to the song *"Something's About to Shift."* I wasn't promoting anything or trying to start a business—I was simply worshiping the Lord.
Almost immediately, someone commented asking to place an order for a set of flags. Then another person. And another.
At first, I laughed because I wasn't making worship flags. Years before coming to Christ, I had enjoyed tie-dye and other creative projects, but I had never considered sewing or creating worship banners. Still, I tucked those comments away and quietly asked the Lord if He was trying to get my attention.
The very next day, everything changed.
A friend reached out and shared something he had been holding onto for nearly a year. He told me the Lord had given him a vision of me worshiping with flags and creating worship flags for others. He said that everywhere those flags went, revival followed.
The moment I read his message, I knew. Deep within my spirit, there was an unmistakable confirmation that the Lord was calling me to create worship banners.
There was only one problem—I didn't know how to sew.
My mother was a seamstress, but I had never learned. I didn't know how to thread a sewing machine, cut patterns, or sew a single stitch. Yet my answer to the Lord was simply, **"Yes."**
I told Him, *"If this is truly what You're calling me to do, You'll have to teach me, because I have no idea where to begin."*
Within two weeks, the Lord had miraculously provided everything I needed.
Sewing machines. A serger. Thread. Needles. Practice fabric. Seed money to purchase silk. Every provision arrived at exactly the right time. What would have taken me months to gather on my own, the Lord placed into my hands in just two weeks.
From there, He became my Teacher.
Step by step, stitch by stitch, the Lord taught me what I never imagined I could do. Along the way, He filled the journey with countless testimonies of His faithfulness, His provision, and His presence—reminders that this ministry was never built by my ability, but by His leading.
One year later, as I write these words and build this website, I stand in awe of what the Lord has done. Daughter of Zion Banners was never my idea. It was His invitation. What began with one simple "yes" has become a ministry devoted to creating worship banners that point hearts to Jesus and glorify Him alone.
The Heart Behind the Ministry
Behind every banner is a family who loves Jesus and is grateful for the opportunity to serve His Kingdom together.
Hi, I'm Heather Pace—wife to my wonderful husband, Mike, homeschooling mama to our two daughters, Rush and Willow, and the founder of Daughter of Zion Banners.
More than anything, I'm a follower of Jesus whose life has been forever changed by His grace. Although I grew up knowing the Lord, I spent many years running from Him, searching for fulfillment everywhere but in Him. Yet in His incredible mercy, He called me back to Himself at the end of 2022, and I have never been the same.
Before Daughter of Zion Banners was ever an idea, the Lord had already begun stirring something else in my heart—homeschooling our daughters. Although I knew He was calling me to it, I couldn't imagine how it would ever be possible while working a full-time job. Like so many moments in our journey, the Lord simply asked for my "yes" before revealing His plan.
When He birthed Daughter of Zion Banners, He wasn't just creating a ministry—He was making a way for our family. As the ministry grew, the Lord faithfully provided every step of the way. He even worked in Mike's heart, giving us both the peace and confidence that it was time for me to stay home full-time, create with my hands, and homeschool our girls. Looking back, I can see that God was weaving every detail together long before I understood what He was doing.
Today, our home is filled with worship, creativity, learning, laughter, and the faithfulness of God.
Mike is my greatest supporter, faithful provider, and loving covering. His encouragement, steady strength, and willingness to trust God's leading have been instrumental in every step of this journey. I truly could not do this without him.
Our oldest daughter, Rush, has been blessed with incredible creativity. She loves music, songwriting, art, and seems able to pick up almost any instrument she touches. Though naturally quiet, I know the Lord has placed beautiful gifts within her that will continue to flourish in His perfect timing.
Our youngest daughter, Willow, is our joyful spark. Full of energy, laughter, and a deep love for Jesus, she keeps us smiling every day. She already has a tender heart for prayer, worship, and intercession, and it has been a joy to watch the Lord grow her love for His presence.
Together, we have sacrificed, prayed, celebrated, and watched God faithfully provide through every season of this ministry. Our greatest desire is to glorify Jesus in everything we do and to steward well the life and calling He has entrusted to our family.
Daughter of Zion Banners is more than a ministry to us—it is part of our family's testimony of God's faithfulness. Every stitch, every prayer, and every banner is created with the hope that it will lead others into a deeper place of worship and intimacy with Christ. To Him alone be all the glory.
The Biblical Foundation of Worship Banners
Throughout Scripture, worship has always been expressed through more than words alone. God's people worshiped with singing, instruments, lifted hands, dancing, processions, and banners as visible expressions of praise, thanksgiving, victory, and devotion to the Lord. From Moses declaring, "The Lord is my Banner" (Exodus 17:15), to David dancing before the ark with all his might, to Miriam leading the women with tambourines after Israel's deliverance, we see that worship engages our whole being—heart, soul, mind, and strength.
One of my favorite examples is found in 2 Chronicles 20, when King Jehoshaphat sent the worshipers before the army. Instead of leading with swords and shields, they led with praise. As they worshiped the Lord and declared His faithfulness, God fought the battle for them and turned the enemy upon itself. It is a beautiful reminder that our greatest victories are never won in our own strength, but through dependence on the Lord.
Psalm 149 paints another powerful picture of worship and spiritual warfare, declaring, "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand." As we lift our voices in praise and stand firmly upon the truth of God's Word, we are reminded that worship is not passive—it is a powerful declaration of God's sovereignty, victory, and faithfulness.
As followers of Christ, we also recognize that we are engaged in a spiritual battle. Scripture reminds us that "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:3–5). Our weapons are not physical, but spiritual—prayer, worship, the Word of God, faith, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Worship is one of the ways we fix our eyes on Jesus, proclaim His truth, and declare His victory over every circumstance.
At Daughter of Zion Banners, we believe worship banners are not objects of power, nor are they necessary for worship. They are simply one beautiful, biblical expression of glorifying God with our whole hearts. Just as music, lifted hands, kneeling in prayer, or dancing can express our love for the Lord, banners can visually proclaim His goodness, His promises, and His victory.
Every banner created through Daughter of Zion Banners is prayerfully handcrafted with one desire—to exalt Jesus Christ. My prayer is that each banner becomes a beautiful expression of worship, encouraging believers to draw near to the Lord, celebrate His faithfulness, and boldly declare His glory. May every movement point hearts to Him, for He alone is worthy of all honor, glory, and praise.
